Just So Stories – School Performance Series 2017


Some stories are meant to be read quietly & some are meant to be read out loud. These tales are meant to be told…Just So!


A Play adapted from RUDYARD KIPLING’s inspiring short stories for children. A don’t miss, Fun-tastic field trip for your students! Experience EXCITING, IMAGINATIVE, FUNNY and INTERACTIVE animal stories, told by multi-talented actors from a variety of backgrounds. This one hour performance includes music, song, dance and quirky stunts by performers, wearing brightly decorated costumes. They portray painters who arrive with a BANG to paint pictures with Kipling’s words. This Just So Stories play emphasizes the fun and importance of reading and the wonderful adventures in excellent storytelling. .


Students will watch in wonder as ordinary household items emerge as creative and extraordinary objects. They will scream with delight as they travel to the Great, Grey, Green, Greasy Limpopo River to find out what the crocodile has for dinner. They may also learn the secret to How the Rhinoceros got its skin! A tale that gets everyone into the action is when yellow dog, Dingo chases Old Man Kangaroo until his hind legs are streeeetched out of shape. Learning how the camel got its hump is also hysterically funny and a real treat. There are many lessons and story surprises!


This performance arts series provides students with hands-on involvement! Each school receives a performance package in advance that contains selected stories and cues to practice the words, sounds and movements they will use for the performance. As students depart, they are presented with a small gift to remind them of their JUST SO adventures! Just So Stories is designed for children from Pre-K to 5th grade. It is aligned with CCSS/SEL and Illinois Early Learning Standards and Teaching Strategies. You can reserve up to 500 seats. Small groups are welcome. This is a Great Attendance Incentive!
